For Deacons
Thank you for serving Classic City Church by helping to highlight men and women in our church body who have demonstrated qualities and disciplines that would make them fit spiritually and practically to serve as a leader in the role of a Deacon.
Biblically, 1 Timothy 3:1-13 helps guide us in knowing what qualifications we should look for in an Elder or Deacon who can serve a church well.
Difference in Roles
Elders serve with the Senior Pastor to govern the direction of the church by approving the church ministry plan and overseeing the ministry plan's implementation and progress. While Elders serve by leading, Deacons lead by serving. Deacons focus on administering resources in areas such as stewardship, benevolence, and missionary support as well as serving the congregation by meeting personal and physical needs.
