EXECUTIVE PASTOR

Classic City Church is searching for an Executive Pastor.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Pastor to provide strategic leadership and pastoral oversight to the staff of our church. The ideal candidate will be a passionate follower of Christ with a proven track record of leading and managing a diverse team.

The Executive Pastor will operate as an extension of the Senior Pastor and will share the vision and responsibilities to manage and direct the implementation of Classic City Church's vision and ministry plan.

This includes coordinating all strategic planning, staffing of personnel, goal setting, and the formulation of operational policies and procedures.

Partnering with the Senior Pastor, the Executive Pastor will provide pastoral, visionary, practical, and authoritative leadership, ensuring the smooth operation and strategic direction of all church ministries and activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to develop and implement the church's vision, mission, and core values.

  • Operational Oversight: Oversee all church operations, including administration, communications, budget, facilities management, and staff development.

  • Staff Leadership: Foster a healthy, engaged, and well-supported staff environment, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and mentorship.

  • Church Leadership Liaison: Represent staff at Elder meetings, and maintain communication between staff, Senior Pastor, Elders, and Deacons.

  • Administrative Support: Develop operational policies and procedures, provide administrative support to Elders, and manage church records.

  • Pastoral Care: Assist the Senior Pastor and Ministry Directors with pastoral care.

  • Teaching and Preaching: Participate in some teaching and preaching as scheduled.

  • Hiring and Onboarding: Partner with the Senior Pastor to recruit, interview, and onboard new staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong faith commitment and a heart for ministry.

  • Proven leadership and administrative experience in a church or similar setting.

  • Excellent public and interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to delegate effectively and empower staff.
